I just PM'd him and got a response back pretty fast. He even drove out of his way to give me a FREE spare wheel. Don't bash just yet, believe it or not some people don't spend all day on here like we do

 

@Buttskevin21 is a busy dude living his best life with a regular job. Y’all need to remember this is a side gig for him, especially at the rate he charges. Patience is key and y’all gonna have to work with him or go to shops, for shop rates.

 

First message sent Nov 15 2021, canceled on several times and several unresponded messages. While I'm not doubting his character as a person, or fab abilities, trying to give him money is impossible.

You are probably are setting your expectations at the wrong level. I would surmise its primarily a hobby/side gig for him to be doing work on other peoples vehicles. Its not a business, there's no set hours and I don't have any expectation that it would be operated as a fab/install shop. If you knew the location where he completes work (I don't know if you've been there), I am guessing it can lead to some issues. Not in a bad way, I am just guessing that it can lead to some issues...

I think it would be unreasonable to assume he doesn't have anything going on in his personal life. I was working 40-48 hr weeks during the summer and now I have to pull 60-80 hr weeks. I still need time to chill with the GF, go to the store, do housework, take the dogs out to run etc. I sure don't have time to install someone's suspension for 4 hours, but I could have during the summer. We all have variability in our lifestyle, just something to consider.

I am currently waiting for some availability from Kevin for something from this summer but I understand I have to be patient and work around his schedule. I want something done a certain way and don't necessarily trust someone else to do it (or myself haha).

No worries, I just wanted it to test clearance. If you end up with a toasted one I'd probably take it for the same reason

 

Hey Travis, since I am new here. AND brand new to off-roading. I saw lots of people recommend Kevin and his knowledge. Luckily, I am also located western WA. I am curious how you guys hold up him? Phone, email or message here? Thanks.
