Going to pull the trigger on either the Toytec Boss 2.0 suspension kit that includes everything I will need to do the coil overs in front and add a leaf in the back. Just under $1700 shipped with UCA's.

    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Boss-Suspension-System-for-16Tacoma_p_1464.html

    or

The Bilstein 6112/5160 kit from Headstong offroad. Which will have pretty much all the same parts to do the front and back plus the UCA's. Same price $1700 shipped.

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/headstrong-kits-tacoma-05-6-lug.html

Going to go with 285/75/16 KO2's SCS SR8 wheels jet black

Anyone have experience or opinions on which one is the best for offroading?

I had the BOSS kit on the 4Runner in my sig and loved it. I'll probably go the same route with my Tacoma in the spring. Not sure about the other option, hopefully somebody can chime in

That bilstien combo is basically what is in the BAJA edition and the TRD Pro edition. I've had a couple other setups.......I absolutely love these shocks!!!! Tough choice, either one I'm sure will be great.

Im trying to decide the same thing currently. The one thing i like about the boss is it's adjustable once you put it on. So when and if i decide to put a new bumper on i can adjust a little for the added weight.

with the 6112's you have to decide what your going run before you put it on.

Im trying to decide before the 30th if i can pull the trigger on one.

I can only say that I am completely satisfied with the toytec. The ride quality is amazing. Have only had it for 1,000 miles on my 2016 Tacoma but it truly exceeded my expectations!

I am considering the same lifts and I'm leaning toward the 6112/5160 combo

I would go with the Bilstein 6112/5160 kit for sure. More travel and you get remote resis in the back and in the front a 0.65" bigger piston so much much better heat dissipation.
Do you know what coils come with that though? It didn't say.
If you do get this, I wouldn't pay for the assmebly. Local auto shops do it for less than half or you can do it yourself even

I ended up going with the Bilstein's. The ride is great on the street and highway. Everything fit perfect and the UCA bolts came out without cutting. Will post better offroad picks tomorrow.

I got just under 3" in the front. The rear aal leveled it perfect. I am off work tomorrow and will get pictures and give it an offroad test.

My wheels and tires go on Tuesday. So stock right now.

Yes, set on the 5th notch. It feels just a little stiffer than stock.

According to the mechanic that did the work they came right out like any other Tacoma he has worked on. This was his first 2016.

What about those nifty mounts you have on the rear? Where did you get them?
