Was thinking about regearing to 4.56 or 4.88 if it's shot. What sucks is that I had ordered a lift kit, a ton of new suspension components, wheels, and tires. Then a few days later I started having the braking issue on my current rear end, so I planned on just bolting on the new rear end when doing the lift and doing a complete brake job on it, then I find this....:spending::annoyed:

Going back to a previous post of yours, when you say "spider gear shim" do you mean the "pinion gear thrust washer" in this pic?Screen Shot 2019-04-08 at 8.36.05 PM.jpg

I would think so since there's 4......any slop on the spider and are all 4 washers in place?

Remember, some here think you may be ok so don't go too far yet.

Really though, I would think damage to be found fairly easily, these things don't last long when out of jive.

I haven't even pulled the 3rd member yet. This is what I do, I read and watch - read and watch some more until I get so tired of reading and watching I say "F*ck it" and just go for it. My worry is that since it was a front end collision, there may have been some force applied down the drive shaft and into the rear diff...Now, i'm not sure if this is even possible, but I guess since I'm already this far, I'll at least pull the 3rd and check it out.

Day off? You already drained it and removed the axles you have 10 minutes left to pull it out
