Drive it and dump the diff fluid at your next oil change and inspect again. Worst case scenario you'll have to re gear. Those chunks are a bit too big. Should only be metal shavings.

Lol didn't have to take it completely out from under the truck but hey your call. I just disconnected the brake lines, pulled the brake/axle assemblies out, and pulled the pumpkin out.

    A few questions.

    1) Where does one get those electrode things (no idea what they're called) that are stuck into the harness?

    2) Does polarity matter when placing the electrodes in position 3 and ?5?

    3) Are the match marks already on the pinion?

But for testing purposes, I could just use any wire, correct? Those things I circled look like the things on a voltmeter

Thanks man. You're my rock. You're my soul. You've been my guiding light down this dark differential tunnel.

He needs to power the pins with a 3v battery

E locker actuator is off, third member is unbolted, but I cannot get the damn thing off. I get it pulled 98% of the way and it catches on the top pin! I’ve lived it with gear oil, hit it with PB blaster, and verified that nothing inside is getting hung up!
