    Hello Everyone,

My name is Al, living in Connecticut, and I purchased an 09 Tacoma TRD off road access cab two weeks ago. I very happy with the purchase and plan to make some modifications in the future - as the pocketbook ans wife allows. I'm fairly handy with hand tools, so I''ll be doing my own oil changes, stereo swap out, and general maintenance. I'll be referring to the forum frequently for tips and pictures. Thank you for this resource!

Found out a long time ago that if you want something, put it in such a way that's it her idea and you usually get what you want. Takes time, but keeps domestic tranquility.

Thanks. Was looking at some of the mods guys have done and I'm going to do two right off the bat...the backup camera and the 4WD light switch. Don't understand why Toyota didn't include these as standard equipment. I've been impressed with the info sharing and pictures that accompany the write-ups. Great work.

Good places to start for sure. Who knows. Toyota will eventually catch on :jerkoff: There is tons of info on here dude but still feel free to ask questions. Many members are big on using this "search" function, but I've still yet to have seen it

    Thanks!
When I was on active duty, I was working on a project that required me to commute from Biloxi to Pensacola weekly. Went thru Mobile many a times. Visited the fort on the mouth of the bay, but I can't remember it's name anymore. I like your bull (or is it bully?) bar. Do your KC light attach to it and did it come with the skid plate. It's very functional and I like how dresses up the front.

Man, that's the truth. I'm looking at all sorts of stuff to add on and I thought owning a Jeep (Just Empty Every Pocket) was bad. But I have a great platform to start with, I just need to take my time and plan what direction I want to go with it. Some of the mods on this forum makes me wonder whyToyota didn't include them to begin with...like a switchable back-up camera (always on, off, or stock), map and overhead lights wired together in the cab, lighted 4WD dial...and so on...all simple to do at the factory. But I'm glad that there is an enthustic fan base here that shares their knowledge and ideas to anyone that cares to look.
