I didn't go to Rock Therapy if that's what you're asking. I was stuck in my office past midnight every day the event was happening. :(

I have not read all of the thread, but I will- I just wanted to ask which tires performed better on a longevity standpoint, The KM2's or the MTR's. I realize you do a lot of off-roading, but you said you drove 43k on those KM2's with about 50% tread life remaining; How much time did the tires stay on pavement?

The KM2's probably had 35K pavement miles at least. Trail miles usually don't add up too fast, but there is probably accelerated wear on the trails but mileage isn't the best gauge for trail longevity.

I drive quite a few miles a week. My round trip commute to work is 60 miles/day. Plus any misc driving. So at a minimum I'm driving 300 miles a week on the road. Reality is more like 500 miles a week. 2000 miles a month is pretty accurate.

As for the MTR's I've got about 40K miles on them right now and I would guess about 50% tread left so without any scientific data I would say they are pretty close on treadwear.

    Hey Adam,

I'm either blind or don't know how to effectively use the search function. Do you have the hub to fender measurements for the front?

Attempting to get a better handle on lift height and expected wear&tear based on empirical evidence.

Ok here's what I've got. Measure from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender flare.

    Front: 25"
    Rear: 26"

    Remember I also have a 1" BL

Ok here are some pics of the new tent. Pretty easy setup with the open ceiling. There is a "no-see-um" mesh window that can unzip, as well as an outer canvas window. The rainfly, unclips near the outside corners and rolls up at the center of the roofline. You can open just one side of the ceiling or both. Pretty nice.

You can see both ceiling windows (mesh and canvas) rolled up to the centerline of the ceiling.

With them closed and the rainfly clipped back into place it looks/functions exactly the same as the normal Kukenam.

Not sure if they're here or not. Tracking had them showing up today but I haven't been home yet. I'll let you know.

As for the tent. Tepui has a SKY model of the Autana which was the tent I had before this one with the covered ladder and annex. That would be perfect for the family with the extra room for the kids and extra gear with a sunroof to top it off.

I love the tent, but I also love those FJ80 wheels!
Nice to see another truck rocking 'em.

Adam, what UCAS did you end up going with? I just did the light racing spc ones and then had Slee Offroad dial the alignment for me. What a difference! I would have done them a long time ago had I known. Oh and the new Tepui looks awesome! I hope to get an RTT before next summer, was hoping you'd start fabbing those sweet bed racks again.

I bought ponethousand's Light Racing UCAs. He just put some new ICON UCAs on his truck so I grabbed his old ones. Looking forward to getting my caster back in order.

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
I'd possibly be in the market for your tepui if the price was right... :anonymous:
