I'm sure we can work something out if you are interested. As long as you don't mind that one of the fenders has a big hole in it for a snorkel. Maybe we can figure out a package deal and you can get the snorkel too. I might be selling it too.

I did LOTS of hammering to the firewall. Probably as much as you can without just tubbing. I'm on the fence about tubbing. It's possible that I might just do it later this summer when I have a few weeks off of work. That way I won't have to worry about it ever again. I also did quite a bit of cutting too. Cut the flares, bent the lower part of the fender a bit, cut the fender liner. Pinch weld is gone.

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
Don't mean to jack haha chad has first dibs but I've been looking for a snorkel and if you already have the fender with the whole that would be a big plus. Let me know :D

Hmmm ok. Thanks. I'm going to finish off the front tomorrow night. Found some (a lot) more fender to trim... If it's not too much trouble, I'd love to see a pic of this area from your taco - I know I'm overthinking this but the cutting and bashing is new for me.

Sure thing. When Chad speaks up we'll see where it goes.

I haven't actually cut much of the fender itself. Some of the bottom edges have been bent/folded back and hammered a little but I didn't actually cut any sheet metal. I did cut some sheet metal on the rear fenders.

    Confused. Why is that funny?

That was in regards to fitting 35's. Tubbing has it's place for sure. My point was that the jump from 33s to 35's isn't worth all the extra work if you don't have to, because 35's alone don't offer that much benefit over 33's. But that's a different discussion.

And if I tub my truck this summer it will be because I'm bored and want a project to fill my time. I've been working 80+ hour weeks since March and once this project is done I'll have a few weeks of "comp time". I don't currently have any plans while I'm off so I'm sure I'll drum up some truck stuff to fil my time. There's isn't much I "need" to do to the truck so it will just be doing crap for the hell of it. Tubbing would be one of those things.

Interesting. I found a lot to cut - I'm all over the fender and firewall when stuffed and turning. You're making me nervous that I'm cutting too much haha.

Don't worry. You're handling it the right way, get the suspension stuffed and the steering cranked and cut where stuff hits.

Remember I have a 1" body lift too which helps.

True dat. Really stoked to test it out next weekend. Will be the gnarliest trail my truck has seen yet.

Yeah, next time I get an alignment done I'll look into that. Really I should prob get one sooner than later - done quite a bit of rear lifting since the last one.
