One of the local guys has a "short hmmwv" snorkel on his XJ. Not as high up as your old one, but it gets the intake above the hood at least.

A hood scewp, maybe? Although, I would be worried about the boundary layer and any starvation caused by turbulent separation of the flow. Wind tunnel testing would be fun.

Adam has me seriously thinking about my intake. I really wish I hadn't screwed myself by selling off my intake box.

And, yes, I'm being a bit serious about the scoop. Wouldn't be sticking out like a sore thumb but would get it higher than the stock intake.

Yeah. I'm going back to a stock intake. But I need to get another box, my old one got broken during my first roll :anonymous:

Wonder how many people bought his kits...especially the inflatable stuff so he can float down the river. Takes overlanding/expedition to a new level haha.

Prepping for a few more events coming up where I'll be repping Tepui. As you know I pulled the plug on the vinyl wrap that we had planned. Still wanted something but decided to keep it simple. Sorry for the crappy cell pics but new rocker panel graphics and bedside decals went on last night.

Now just need to get the fenders painted.

Fenders are painted and reinstalled. Color-matched rattle can turned out pretty good. I need a higher quality clearcoat on them so I'll probably respray them later in the summer but at least now I'm not "that guy" with unpainted fenders. ;)

Looks good, one of the better implementation of glass I've seen. Missing the snorkel though.
