I think it looks good. I'd love to put an S-Runner hood on but they seem impossible to find.

Was this the one you had on the cruiser for a bit? I liked the one you had there, but the lines on the taco looks out of place. Just my opinion... and I like scoops in general.

yep, same scoop. I didn't like it on the Cruiser. Not sure I like it on the Tacoma either so it's not on there either.

Hey boxrocket. I noticed you have amber covers on your grill lights. In your opinion, how do the amber filters perform in dust, night rain, fog conditions? Is it a substantial difference over no filter?

    Thanks!

To be honest I haven't really used them in fog, mainly just dust. They do seem to help quite a bit with visibility in the dust. Substantial difference? You'd have to decide for yourself. I like them.

Did you have to buy the front hardware kit bumper so the low profile one would go on or is it just optional to get it? (Stupid question, sorry)

Not sure what you mean. There is hardware that comes with the bumper. That's what I used.

I think @BYJOSHCOOK means the hardware kit that should really be called a front crossmember kit. The part number is 120248-1-KIT. I tried to copy/paste the link to Trail Gear's website and it causes an error message.

I'd also like to know if this kit is included with the Rock Defense bumper. I've recently "downgraded" from a 2nd gen DCSB to a 1st gen single cab I'm going to build up, but I'd like to stay as lightweight as possible. Low Range Off Road's website says the Rock Defense bumper weighs 52 lbs. If that's correct I think this bumper and a winch with synthetic rope will weigh only slightly more than a plate bumper alone. Any advice or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!

Idk what you all are talking about. I just bought the bumper from low range, and installed it. Pretty straight forward, works very well and isn't too heavy. The winch mounted up perfectly. I say go for it if you like the look and need the functionality.

The bumper comes with the crossmember that replaces the crash bar thing. Not sure if that's what he's taking about. Agreed, I was very happy with mine when I had my taco

Hey man I saw on your build on another website that you have the 4 crawler axle relocation plates and I was wondering if yours are custom spaced holes or are the 3/4" / 1" ones you went with cuz I like the spacing it gives full stuff cuz I rub a lot full stuff! Thanks!

I'm using the plates with the holes that came in them. I think I have them at the 1" hole.

I keep those details a bit vague since I sell/sold those racks. But it's primarily made from 1" sq tube.
