Yep I have the gusset. I just need them welded on. I can bring them to you. I just need them welded on so I can paint them. Then if you could I can also come to you to weld on the sliders. I would prefer to go to a fellow TacomaWorld buddy. Just name your price :D

    Haha. Not yet.

I'll send you a PM. Just let me check my schedule. If you want to do it in two stages (drop them off to me to weld gussets first), then paint and bring them back to me for final welding, we could probably get together anytime and I'll get the gusset part done. Let me know. I work right downtown if you are able to get to SLC, and I can take them.

update for Monte or anyone else that cares. Here's a few crappy cell phone pics of how I did my hilift mount on my tire carrier. Doesn't get more simple than this. Cut a plate for the base and welded a couple "pins" to it for the hilift base to sit on. Welded a gusset under the plate to the swing arm. Welded a short section of tube higher up with a bolt welded to it. Now I just set the hilift on the plate and tighten the nut on the bolt.

And since you asked about how I ran my wiring for my license plate light. Here ya go. little wire loom and a hole drilled through the tire mount.

Finally, I picked up a pair of Thule bike trays for a steal at a local pawn shop. They are Thule's top of the line fork mount bike trays that usually run about $200 each. I got the pair for $80.

Needed somewhere to put this that I picked up last week. Been away from biking for about 15 years and trying to get back into it.

Repainted my wheels. They had some serious rock rash and needed some love.

I have a strong preference for Restoleum for all the stuff I rattlecan. I use Satin finish on bumpers/sliders etc because it hasa finish very close to that of Powdercoat. For the wheels I used Rustoleum primer, followed by Rustoleum gloss black, followed by Rustoleum clear coat.

I've been very pleased with the results from Rustoleum. I tried the Duplicolor wheel paint in the past when I painted the wheels on my Evo. It worked just fine but I still prefer the results from the Rustoleum.

guess there's only one way to find out which works best for me...

i've used rustoleum on most my projects...their satin has a nice finish too

The Dupllcolor Paint is pretty good. This is the Duplicolor Anthracite I used on the wheels on my Evo.

But I changed my mind and did them gold and used Rustoleum. I like the finished result better with the Rustoleum.
