Actually looks a little different from mine, but like I said before if it's the size you need then that's all that matters.

whipped together a quick little project yesterday. I needed to mount my new CO2 tank and get a better solution for securing my ARB fridge in the bed of the truck. Up to this point I've usually had the fridge on the rear seat deck that I built but that only works if I don't need the back seat. Now that my wife and kids are riding with me more the fridge needed to find it's way to the bed of the truck.

I didn't want to drill tons of holes in the bed for all the brackets so i built a simple deck to bolt everything to and the just bolted the deck down with 4 bolts instead of like 16 holes for everything.

Deck is made of 3/4" ply and I bought a cheap rubber garage mat and covered the plywood with it. I tried to keep as much leg room in the bed as I could for my boys and even with the fridge back there it's not bad.

    _MG_8288_zps8f4c0168_77d80f5a1b8c2cf14c4087edf199fdff5cc82a01.jpg

The new CO2 tank fits nicely on the driverside.

I'm using an Engel transit lock for the fridge. The fridge has feet the slide into the metal brackets and locks it into place.

I needed a power souce back there so I wired up a 12v plug tucked up under the bed rail on the passenger side. That gives me power for the fridge.
    _MG_8290_zpsc7046859_7ea81ec75683a0c48408916010d69d03977ea051.jpg

    Fridge in place.

That leaves room for one of my boxes between the fridge and the CO2 if I don't have my boys riding with me in the back.

It's not the perfect setup given that I am working around passengers in the bed, but given the problems with that it worked out pretty good for what I need.

    Nice looking setup.

Honestly though, I'd feel a little uneasy about driving about with compressed cylinder with it position to fire towards the cab in event of a failure or burst :notsure:

I'm not worried about it. CO2 is very stable. I've had CO2 in all of my trucks for years.

I am still debating the horizontal mounting of the tank. It fits well, but to use the tank I need to stand it up vertically. But in order to mount it vertically I would need to have a bracket that attaches to the bed rail. I might try fabbing one up so the tank is vertical and then I can just use it without having to take it out of the bracket.

Hmm. Never saw that but yeah it's very similar. My CO2 bracket is the same thing essentially the same thing just taller since I have a 20lb bottle. That Co2 bottle in those pics is a smaller 10lb bottle so fitting it is a little easier. That's the idea though is to mount the CO2 just like that but since mine is taller it isn't supported well enough if you just bolt the bottom of the bracket down. There is too much leverage and it wobbles a lot which is why I might need another brace tied to the bed rail to support it better.

Yea was about to ask why you mounted it that way..why didn't you just make a bracket to keep it vertical?? would give even more foot room..

What Hi Lift attachments do you use for the truck, I've had a hard time deciding on the bumper lift, or the tire lift, or either. Nice build!

Are you talking about the one on his rear bumper slanted across the spare? He built that himself.

Is that a dent!?!? That's crazy. I never would have thought you hit anything hard enough to that yesterday.
