Haven't noticed any sag at all. I don't have a winch installed yet, so I'm sure the front end will drop some once I add a winch but I think I've got a setup that will weigh under 50lbs to minimize the weight and sag.

I think im gonna go with the 5100's and either 881's or 882's since ill have full budbuilt skids and sliders. I wont be running a bumper yet or a winch but thats still alot of weight.

I know a lot of people go with that setup. I've had bilstiens on other trucks (1st and 2nd gen PUs not Tacomas) and they were great, but I really like the 882s with the OME Sport shocks in my current setup. I'm sure Bilstiens are good but I like that I'm running springs/shocks that were designed and engineered together. It's been a nice setup.

The Budbuilt skids will definitely add some weight up front. Skids are on my list too, I'm just need to decide if I want to fab my own, or just go with something already to go like Budbuilts. I'm also searching for some aluminum possibilities. We'll see.

I've meant to add this for a while but keep forgetting. I'll try to get some better photos too.

A while back I built a platform for the rear seat area. For longer trips when I don't need the rear seat, I pull the seat and the platform installs using factory holes. There are several different tie downs on the passenger side. I usually just have lightweight items or snacks, or camera gear that I don't want in the bed. Also allow some storage underneath the platform for some recovery gear and tools.

Kinda hard to see in this photo but the driver side is my ARB fridge that is mounted on a FrontRunner slide. The hinge for the fridge lid is toward the door so that the fridge is easily accessible inside the truck without having to slide it out. But can be accessed from the outside by opening the driverside rear door and pulling out the slide. Gotta say it's easy to get spoiled on longer trips when you have a fridge. No more dripping wet items inside a cooler of ice.

AWESOME idea. I didn't even realize the back seat came out that cleanly.

Hey man I have a question about your snorkel. How close does the door come to rubbing it? does the installation give some room for error? my luck I would put that big ole hole in my truck and the passenger door wouldn't open if it was possible.

You've heard the saying "measure twice, then measure again, cut once". There is a template that comes with the snorkel kit that is pretty good at showing where all the holes go. If you're careful it's kinda hard to mess up, but it's still nerve wracking to cut a 2.5" hole in the side of the truck.

Plenty of room for the door to open. If you mess up bad enough to get in the way of the door, you've got some serious problems.

Man your truck is hands down my favorite 1st Gen I've ever seen. My favorite 2nd gen being murdered out taco's. I would love to have a bunch of people that like to going camping like that. I'm I'n WV and don't really have off the beaten path camping places that aren't straight up and down woods or owned by somebody that will put some buckshot in your ass or tailgate for being on their land. You have done the cleanest and well built (self) built mods I've seen. Getting to watch a truck like yours transform like this is what makes this dang website so addictive. Keep up the great work I can't wait to see what comes next. One question if you don't mind milling it over a bit. I've got the 03 you will see I'n my sig pic. I would like to upgrade my suspension a bit maybe give it a bit of a higher stance. I had been thinking of a kit that has a ADL and billy's toytech. I noticed in one of your post you mention the springs and struts being all manufactured together where did you get yours? Once again love the truck keep up the awesome work!!

Thanks for the compliment. I would take a serious look at the OME suspension if I were you. If I lived somewhere like SoCal or Arizona or some other dry climate I would have considered some Icon Coilovers or any of the other adjustable coilovers, but here in Utah the winters and salt can be brutal on those suspension parts. I didn't want to be rebuilding my suspension every year. The OME stuff holds up in adverse conditions MUCH better than the coilover setups out there. Since you're in WV, I imagine the winters are pretty harsh there as well. I think the OME stuff would be a good option for you for the same reason.

I get all of my ARB/OME products from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters. Without question he's the best source, and he's even a Tacoma owner.
