Hmm I think I'll take a closer look sometime and see if I can make something work with it

I didn't have to modify the shackles. When I ordered them I ordered just the shackles thinking I could reuse the OME bushings and greasable pins. That didn't work because the OME pins are a little different (smaller I think) than the holes on the AP shackles. If you get them, order the complete shackle kit with new bushings and the AP greasable pins.

I'm running the same weight with allpro expo's and 1.5 shackles and a box rocket rear bumper swingout with two 5 gallon jerry can holders. Handles the weight no problem.

You should be ok. It really depends on the amount of weight you're gonna have, and how much rake you are ok with. I like some rake and a level stance when loaded and pulling my trailer so the longer shackles helped.

If you don't have a ton of weight to worry about the OME shackles will probably by just fine. The Dakars and extra leaf will handle the load.

So far with the dakars and OME shackles, it hndles loads very well. It does sag a little and looks like its leaning in the rear a bit, but I also have 883s with no weight up front so that has something to do with it as well. I'm debating on longer shackles but I'm going to wait for everything to settle and break in first.

If anyone didn't figure it out, yeah it's Black Canyon. Super cool place. If my schedule cooperates I'm hoping to camp at Black Canyon overnight and watch the sunrise on my way to Colorado Springs to watch the Pikes Peak Hill climb on the 30th.

I went to PP a couple years ago before they paved the entire course and it was awesome! Too bad that there are no more dirt sections anymore. Couple pics I took from the one I attended.

I stole a few photos of my truck from Bulhas and did some minor "post" work on them.
