$10 isn't even close. I've spent a minimum of $30 at the carwash this week and it's still not clean :)

Pre-soak with a water hose then pressure wash is how I've always done it.

While you are on the topic of paint. I have spent the last week or so browsing your build thread. Excellent work and a great build btw.

I was trying to find out what you have been painting your fabrications with and how you have been doing the touch ups whenever you modify something to add to it, like the light bar on the front bracket, or the rear tire carrier on the bumper. Are you just using some rattle can and respraying the whole thing?

I have a few powdercoated items but most of my fabrication projects are just rattle canned with Rustoleum Satin Black.

Well that is some fine rattle can work! :D Btw, are you offering those rear bumpers for sale? I saw you were backlogged on the racks but never saw if the bumpers made it to production. Just wondering, my stock bumper is shot through the middle with rust and will need replacing eventually.

Currently there is nothing in production. I have been completely swamped with other 'real' work that these extra endeavors have taken a backseat for the time being. Sorry.

Need to replace my steering rack. What does everyone suggest for a replacement rack? OEM, reman? where is the best place to get a reman? What about outer TRE's?

I replaced one outer TRE while installing my suspension. I went with moog from Rockauto. It has a zerk on it which I think is nice, and it was priced nice :notsure:

    ...too much shit to list.
If you want a reman, get one from Rackdoctor!

    http://shop.rackdoctor.net/1995-2004-Toyota-Tacoma-4X4-Rack-and-Pinion-26495-549.htm

I did a stupid amount of research on this. All the one's on rockauto are the same shitty remans you can get at local parts houses. Fit and finish on the rack doctor was pristine and been working flawless so far. I read lots of mixed reviews on local parts houses.

Only real complaint was the shipping time was longer than stated. I emailed him about it late one night and he replied before I was up in the next morning stating they were exceptionally busy and were behind. Offered me refund if I wanted it, or could just wait a couple more days.

    Whats the issue?

My rack also seems to be going. Drivers side has some up and down play to it which causes my driver tire to toe out when the brake is applied. I Just replaced the tie rods too

Leaky seals mainly. I know my outer TRE are a bit loose so there is some play there and they need to be replaced. Would like to just get it all done at once and have it right.
