Truth. Last year sucked because I was working so much through the winter that i couldn't snowboard even if I wanted to. This winter looks like I might actually be able to hit the slopes a bit more. So I guess if we have to have winter, it better snow like crazy.

Thanks. I have no formal training when it comes to welding/fabwork. Just have had the need for fab work on all my trucks and didn't want to pay someone else to do it so I did my best to figure it out.

My welds have definitely improved over time. I still have a stupidly basic set of tools for fab work but I've been able to make due with what I have.

Lol. It takes time. Im running a miller 211 with hardwire .35. Cant go wrong with that wire. Today I did make the new tundra emblem for a buddie of mines grill out of 3/16 mild steel

I think quite a few people would be in line for these one-of-a-kind bumpers

Not planning to build more bumpers at the moment. However, I still have all the templates for everything so who knows? :) If I were to build more of these the pricing for a bumper/swingout with all the bells and whistles would run about $1100. So slightly less than a comperable CBI.

I miss Lake Tahoe area. Living in Sacramento for 13 years I sure was spoiled, it only being an hour and a half away. Now living on the opposite coast I have to drive 5 hours for anything descent. 1st world problems.

Thanks again for letting me know Adam. Though if u still decide to make some more I would be interested if I don't save up before and get a CBI. but I will say u r a lot cheaper with all the bells and whistles on it still. I was wantin to try to fab one up myself from a guy I know but idk if he's up to that challenge or not.

another option may be to sell the "plans" if you have them. i would be in line for that. it would greatly simplify my rear bumper build if i had a set of plans and i would gladly pay for them...

Sorry. I like that there is some uniqueness to my bumper. I try to do that with all the stuff I build. I don't want anything I make to look like I just copied someone else. At the same time there's no reason to reinvent the wheel so proven features should be used but I try to tweak them enough to make it unique.

I won't be sharing plans for any of my fab projects. I'm happy to give suggestions and ideas and answer questions though.

Hey man sweet looking truck, I'm going with the same front suspension setup because of your inspirational machine. I was curious what fender flares you were running? they almost look stock. I was also curious about whether or not you had to trim your fenders or not for the 33'' tires. Do they rub at all? thanks man.

You won't need to trim for the 33s. Should do the pinch weld mod depending on wheel back spacing and tire width. If your like some of the cool kids and run 37s with a 3" lift, then you'd need to trim your fenders

You can have to trim for 33s..i did..but only the very lower parts. But i have 2.5'' BS. The further the wheel sticks out, the more of the fenders you'll have to cut.

Stock fender flares. I have trimmed some on the flares and flattened the pinch weld. The still rub a little in certain conditions, usually only at full steering lock and fully stuffed suspension.

So a guy from back east PM'd me a couple days ago asking if I'd sell the truck. Made me an offer of 18k for it. Now I'm contemplating what to do. Wasn't really thinking of selling it so I'm not feeling like I have to.

If I do, I'd pay off a couple things and have some money left to throw at my 80 series Cruiser and use that as my DD.

What to do, what to do?
