So I’m on my way to work, but first need to drop my kids off at daycare. Now I leave pretty early so it’s dark out and traffic is scarce. Anyhow I’m cursing along at about 70 mph, which is basically going the same speed as everyone around me. I look in my rearview mirror and see some car coming up real quick, guy must be doing about 95 in a 65. Well in the lane next to me I’m coming up on someone going slower and start creeping up on her. Well the D-Bag behind me probably thinks the distance between us is wide enough to slide right between, but when he finally gets there he realizes its not. So he attempts to ride her real hard which I think freaks her out. So she gasses it to widen the gap so the Ahole can pass than changes her mind at the last minute and slows down. The guy than decides to tale me, so I decide this MoFo needs to go and shut the cruise control off and make my own gap (I figure I don’t like to be blocked in either). Well I do this real easily and give him tons of room to get around me. Only rather than absorb the room I have provided he does a typical D-Bag move and slides right off my rear bumper (literally inches from), hardly gets over, and slides right in front of me, which was completely unnecessary.

Now in doing this I get real pissed off because I’m driving my wife’s small car and got my kids in the back. So I decide to step on the gas (stupid I know) so I can catch him at the upcoming signal, which is all completely pointless. Anyhow I eventually pull my head out of my butt after looking back at my kids sleeping and do my best to calm myself down; I wanted nothing more than to break the guys face and kick his shitty door in.

Now here’s where the title of the post comes in (finally right)… the whole rest of the way to my destination I couldn’t stop thinking about the whole brake check thing. How amazing would it be to lock them up so the idiot behind you runs into your bumper and starts to spin out of control as you gas it and take off? I envision watching in my rearview the ahole spinning out of control in his stupid crappy loud civic ending up on the side of the road choking in his own dust :p

Anyone actually do this? Please share your story because I couldn’t imagine how amazing this would feel.

Great idea, brake check a speeding car with your kids in the back seat... brilliant... brake checking an asshat driver makes you no different or better than him. It's a stupid idea, is ineffective and worst case ends in a bad accident. I agree with Krazie, if someone refuses to get off your tail, drift into the shoulder with the little stones, if he persists, let them pass.

    Oh and :locked:
