Driving home from work today - probably 10 miles into a 12 mile commute, my truck lost acceleration - If I floored the gas the RPM stayed just under 2 and I maxed out at about 25 mph. I limped home and just before hitting my neighborhood, my check engine light, TRAC light and an error message that read "brake override malfunction" popped up.

I've got 13K miles on a 2020 TRD Sport. I've got an aftermarket Pro grille that I've had on it since it was a month old with ZERO problems with the TSS sensor. I've got raptor lights that have been on for the last 6 months without issue. I've had a pedal commander installed, similarly, for ~6 months without issue.

I went back out after it sat in the driveway for 10-15 min and restarted - check engine light is still on, but no override malfunction message and it seems to accelerate normally.

Any experience with this? I am taking it in to the dealership tomorrow, but am curious if the mods could be called out as a possible cause (in spite of the fact that they've been installed for months without issue).

It absolutely does not matter if the mod was installed six minutes ago or six years ago. A mod is a mod and just because it went good for awhile does not mean something didn't happen.
Take it to a dealership, have it evaluated and see.

Mods definitely could be a problem

    I remember reading about this . . .

    Brake Override Malfunction Error

Not saying you've got the same problem, but it's something to check.

As @Tullie D stated, could be pedal commander.
Take note of the orange/gold notice(s) in the attached file.
I don't know if pedal commander can cause further issues if left installed as I have not read up on it much, but it would be a likely candidate in my opinion and I would suggest removing it for troubleshooting. At a minimum, remove it before taking it to the dealer.

I've definitely read about this with pedal commander.
I pretty sure the problem happens when you change the setting while one the accelerator.
I'm sure there got to be a bunch of threads on here about it.

Many thanks. Must have been the Pedal Commander. I knew I wasn't supposed to change settings while moving and I don't think my leg hit it (based on how it is secured under the steering wheel) but disconnecting it, seemed to fix the issue completely. I will try to hook it back up tonight to see if it reverts.
