are you towing with this truck?
if so, do you have trailer brakes?
do you have added weight like topper, skid plates, larger tires?

Not towing, have a topper with sumo springs.
So took it back to the dealership. Tech said it was driveline vibrations. So replaced leaf springs and checked driveline angles. Also installed dampner in steering wheel. My truck now pulls to the right driving. Had them do an alignment before I left for a trip. I am in Utah and truck still pulls to the right and vibrations when braking. Any ideas? If I don't get this crap fixed going to trade it in on a full size truck. Very aggravated right now.

Not sure why you are not giving all the info, either way, you sound unhappy with the truck, and full size seems like what you need.

Not towing had the camper for one week. Camper was sold. Trying to get it fixed since I am 2k miles from home.
Will eventually sell it but that point does not help now. Just need some advice not a bunch of bullshit right now.

I’ve got a post like this, I eventually sold mine. Now that you mention it my truck was pulling to the left after springs were replaced and I had to keep the wheel slightly to the right to go straight.

I’ve had the driveline vibrations, and the brake vibrations. New drums were warping in 2k miles without towing. Weirdly they didn’t vibrate unless I was on the highway and braking at 70+.

You can try corporate like I did and they will send a tech out but he said mine was in spec but my tires and wheels made my alignment incorrect (OEM Toyota wheels and tires).

If corporate inspects your truck and finds sumo springs they will say it’s your fault and run away.

EBC makes a kit as well! I used to have their slotted rotors with the red stuff pads, made a nice difference over OEM and the Centric/Stoptech I had prior at the time. Once it's time to replace the brakes, I will go this route.

Will put back on the factory bump stops then take it back to the dealership. No biggie. It's just aggravating on a new truck.

They are actually good ridge lines I put on maybe 12 years ago. One of them has a crack I spotted so ordered stop tech lines for the fronts and will be swapping them out this weekend. Rebuilt the calipers as well, front and rear.

My trucks is doing the same thing around the same mileage. I got my rotors resurfaced at 15k and it was vibrating within a 100 miles if that being done. I’m at 18000 now it it’s almost every time I brake.

hey any updates to this? I’m also experiencing steering wheel vibes after installing new OEM rotors and trd brake pads. Maybe break in procedure was not done correctly but very frustrating

I got the service at 20k and the dealer insisted it was tire cupping. The alignment and rotor specs looked great. It still made the noise and was maddening. I got the 25k service 2 weeks ago and the noises are almost gone. I don’t know if they were over inflating my tires, adjusted the torque, idk. But it’s the best it’s been in 16k. It was so bad before I nearly went and got new tires but I didn’t see the cupping and there’s tons of tread left. In short, I have no damn idea.

Knock on wood, at over 23k miles, my tacoma's pad life is still like new, and the stock solid rotors are fine, while towing the same loads with the same brake controller as my tundra's. Appears the brakes on the tacoma are much heavier designed then the ones that came on my 2001 tundra.
