You initiated I was a lesbian. I just offered you the chance to join. I'm actually very straight but I see you have pent up anger against homosexuals. You really shouldn't put those vibes out there. It's 2016 and we are way past digs at sexual orientation.

I have seen that happen. Intermittent brake failure caused by a bubble in the master cylinder casting. The brakes usually worked properly most of the time but went to the floor a couple of times. The master cylinder was disassembled and the cause was apparent. This was a 1961 Mercedes but the way brakes work is still basically the same.

    I believe EmmsGrl.

    Added
This is exactly the same thing that happened to the car above, pedal went to the floor, release and reapply and brakes worked.

Of course in 1961 there was no ABS, no brake booster, and no lights, so there was nothing but the master cylinder to blame.

I'm interested in the outcome of this, good luck EmmsGrl.

This is the same thing as blaming the pilots for the un-commanded rudder hard overs on 737. They can't figure out what's going on so blame the pilot/driver.

Better to run into something pricey in on the dealer's lot.

From the threads that I've read (and unfortunately there has been quite a few) mainly braking issues, transmission issues, electrical problems. I know that when a new generation of vehicles come out they do come with their problems but not adequately filling the transmission fluid from the factory is definitely something that shouldn't be over looked. I can wait. My 1st gen is still my baby :D

On paper this looks like a good option and I definitely considered it. But in the end they'll have it towed and I won't know what's become of a truck I have to make payments on. I won't win that way.

Umm, NO. Go back and check who you are talking to. I never said that. As a matter of fact, you quoted me as saying you had a HUSBAND. So make sure you have your facts straight before saying something that is total BS. Or is that just part of what you learn from your job?

I have none of those issues, so don't judge an entire line-up on a few problems that every vehicle has. But in the end it's up to you.

Holy crap, you must really need a lot of attention! What is lacking in your life? Obviously you have some really deep seated issues. Yes, you excite me in kind of a want to help your deep psychological issues, but I think I'll move on because without serious professional help, not much anyone can do over the Internet.

Good luck on the brakes, but I don't think anyone will ever please you. Keep off the brake and the gas at the same time and you'll be ok.

When I see more than a dozen posts from Tacoma enthusiasts who loved their 1st and 2nd gens and couldn't wait for the 3rd gens to drop the down payment on, have issues its hard not to be skeptical. When I start to see that the people who've had issues post that Toyota has resolved their issues I'll be more relaxed to drop $36k down...Until then I'll enjoy my 03'

For those that are on topic, My Toyota Corp case manager doesn't yet know the service center left me hanging. I dealt with them late Friday and she was gone for the day. I'm expecting a call from her tomorrow. She told me there were other options for me before calling it quits. I will update tomorrow.
