As someone else stated, the logs are only documenting common driving flaws or things that seem to be abnormal functions. It won't record every day functioning. The problem I have is that they took the one incident from the day before I brought it in for service, reported that it was due to faulty driving on my part even when I told them it was an intentional test and furthermore typed out on my service discharge that I have poor brake habits due to what's on that sheet. I work in law enforcement and although many criminals and inmates say stuff like "The cops did blah blah blah to me", after a while if you work around enough cops you realize that not all those claims are false. You learn to see all possibilities. I believe they know there is a brake issue. I also believe they know I'm being truthful. But they will not say that because at the same time they can't find what's wrong or how to fix it and they don't want to say things that will hold them liable. So they maintain that I must be driving poorly.

Also, the causes of those other acceleration issues were mechanical problems. Sticky pedal and jammed floor mats. Not computer.

I just think that people on some message board forums get there rocks off on playing devil's advocate. The bottom line is.... THE FUCKING BRAKE SYSTEM IS FAULTY. Nobody needs to be told to jerry rig wires, be more understanding ect. Fuck that. Fix my truck or replace it. I'm tired of being told.... oh well. Too bad. If my truck did not have 600... SIX FUCKING HUNDRED miles on it with 6 complaints of failure I would say I sound like a billion other people that complain. But who does that with 600 miles on it with no hidden agenda? Someone who is being truthful. If they would swallow their pride they would see that.

Im not saying you're not having an issue. But many people go in there with bs problems and they have to sort through it all. It sounds like they kept your truck and tried to look things over. Without a clear cut issue, its very difficult to diagnose a gremlin issue. If it doesnt reoccur on a normal basis, its hard to chase down.

A dumb person would sit and say it's mechanical and there is no electrical or computer failure involved. But not even the dealership said that. Even they ran software tests against other vehicles. So I'm going to say that you are wrong there. But when you find a mechanical solution to my problem let me know. BTW, I am not the only person that is having this problem and it's the first year.

They didn't replicate the issue because they took it for an 11 mile test drive in the parking lot. LOL

Example, I was having issues with my wipers. They would randomly wipe at the wrong rates, but I couldnt get it to repeat when I needed it to. I took it to toyota and they ciuldnt replicate it. All they could do was put down on a report that I had a complaint. My problem isnt dangerous like yours, but its the same deal with chasing down a problem that cant be repeated.

If you find dumb to be name calling. I find it to be a legitimate state that many people live in. If you are that easily offended then I will take that back and say then you would be fool. Now that is not name calling but I rather be called dumb than a fool. Dumb implies you just aren't thinking first. A fool just refuses to see things one way despite all the knowledge.

LoL. Are you 10? The reason for posting here was to see if another person had a similar issue. The fact that several people have no useful input and I am a straight shooter leads you to get all fired up? Lucky for you I understand that on the internet there is a wide range of immature and board kids at any one time on forums so you do not have to apologize. I happen to like my personality and it has taken years to become "a bitch" if that's what you see it as. Thank you for the life advice Dad.

90's-early 2000 years Chevy/GMC had issues with that, is the circuit board/relay attached to the wiper motor. Will work fine, then randomly run at different speeds, not run, come on when not trying to use them. $20 for replacement, three screws, 5 minutes of work. I wonder if Toyota uses the same type of set up.

Don't understand why people are hating on the OP. She has explained the situation and her frustrations without drama and it's only the short-sighted replies causing problems.

Not sure what the solution is other than trying to get Toyota proper involved somehow since the dealership can't help.

OP...You came here looking for answers to a problem. For the most part we're doing the best we can to help you. But it's virtually impossible to properly diagnose an issue like this in an internet forum. The dealership that physically had your truck couldn't even figure it out. If what you say is happening, is actually happening, then its only fair for tough questions to be asked to cover all bases. Getting prickly every time someone asks a question that you perceive as condicending comes across as being defensive and insecure. The fact that you felt like you had to state that you are a "strong, independent woman who paid cash for her truck" enforces that perception. Being passive-aggressive with us won't win you many supporters around here.

I understand your frustration. Good luck with your problem.

If you want to quote me, use the quote button. I never said "I'm a strong independant woman". You took samples of what I said and changed them to fit your comments. What I said was referencing how as a customer, there is nothing about me that says I have a hidden agenda to get out of my finance. IE NO MONEY ISSUES!!! I also stated a few posts back I was not looking for answers... I was looking TO SEE IF ANYONE HAD THIS SAME ISSUE. I also don't need your support. I only got shitty when people started saying nothing worth a shit and were like... You should jerry rig wires. Do you really think I want my truck diagnosed by strangers on an internet site? Last question... Have you anything to add that means anything to me or are you once again proving my point that some people are here for arguments sake? Don't feel burdened. Those are all rhetorical. SMH. I actually found two other people through my post with the same issue so it served its purpose. Thank you to those that had something knowledgeable to add.
