Hi all new too this site.
I have a 2016 Tacoma with 23,000 miles and the shop just told me I need new brakes and rotors on the front. Does anyone else ever heard of this.

That sounds highly unlikely, you should be able to go around 100K miles before the rotors need changing. Did they ask you about machining the rotors ? or did they just say you need new rotors ? Brakes you should be able to go 50 or 60K miles. Maybe you need new pads but dang thats quick.
This is a link on how to change your own Pads and rotors so you know whats going on.
