I say that because the back of my fenders and flares are cut too. There's hardly anything left of my flares at the bottom.

I also had to cut that little piece of the fender that hangs down in the front. I just cut them up to the bumper, before that they were automatic tire sipers.

Oh, and the rear too, my bedsides and flares are cut in the front of the wheel well.

Yep. I know it's just more pronounced because I'm on 35s, but it's always that firewall side. The good news for you guys is that you just have to nibble that back corner a bit and be done! In fact, I think you have a fair amount of material to work with before you get to the mounting bolts for the very bottom of the fender. I had to cut mine off and then weld new ones on further back toward the door. I think I only have about an inch of fender left down there

nah, I might be able to use the spare off the Scout after thinking about it. It's a 35 x 12.50R15. Should be close to 34" and will mount on my spare 15" wheel :D
I'll just have to get all my flats on the rear.

Looks good...now what size tire is that? 285/75R17? Didn't know cooper made that in this model. I want to go slightly bigger diameter tire when these 285/75r16 wear out but I don't know if I want to get the 295 bfg ko2 as I hear they don't balance good and other problems and the 295 hankook mt wouldn't be too good in winter as I plan to go to school in Laramie next fall. Don't know what to do. Guess that's why you went 17's lol...so many more options

Yep, 285/75r17 I thought it would be just a little bigger too, it's a little more than just a little, lol. They rode smooth, I didn't feel any vibrations up to 75.
I like the 295, They look great on young Brett's truck. But I think they are too wide for DD in the snow.

I wish there were more options for 17 x 8 wheels with alternate backspacing choices. If I can find the wheel I want, I'll be thrilled. -12 and -18 offset would be nice to see.

In case you were wondering, and don't care if you weren't, here it is.
    A 285/75R17 next to a 37 x 12.50R16

These are fucking huge. After today's bashing and trimming, pretty sure tubbing is in my future. But it's so damn close.

Full stuff, slightly turned, closest point. actually flexes the tire sidewall slightly when it hits the seam.

    Full stuff with tire straight.

The light scuff on the plastic flair is all the rub there is, at that point.
The scuff on the firewall is where it hits the seam, clears everything else. It won't bash anymore, hit pone spot and another comes back out, bang that one and the other p[art flexes back out. I think it's stretched as much as possible.

By the bumper, just a tag of fender sheet metal. Easiest part of the whole thing. I zipped it off where the white line is.

The section I cut to make sure there would be no rubbing and the attempt to keep the curve consistent. Luckily the flare covers it.

Got way distracted for a few hours with a visitor, so pics didn't get taken as I was trying to get finished for the night.
Last pic I took, post trimming on the fender and flare. Clears with ease now. Except for the seam..

    The shiny is silicone.

You've probably already figured this out, but the cut-out flares won't be enough to clear those tires. I have them on my rig with 285's and still had to bash the crap out of the same spot on the fire wall that you're dealing with.

But, I love the way those flares look!
