As someone who got (double) burned buying a used diff / clam, I would highly recommend buying directly from ECGS and getting a warranty from one of the best shops in the industry. It's not fun exploding diffs on the rubicon or in the white mtns. Err, home despot parking lot.

Also, glad to see this thread alive and well. New tars look great Mr. Brett, although I'd be thinking long and hard about 5.29's with that size.

    Thank you!
I'm actually still slightly overgeared from stock. I'd be concerned about breaking teeth with 5.29's.
From here, for me, a crawler box would be the next step in gears. But I haven't really given that any thought.

    Outstanding!
33"-34" tires will be good at 4.88. My old Toyo's were down to 32" when I changed to the Coopers and although that was way overgeared it still felt ok on the highway. Not quite a screamer, but close. The 4.88 and 34" combo feels great to be honest. I was disappointed when I lost the "low range" crawling gears but it still wheels and crawls well and the rpm shift points have improved. A set of 5.09's would be perfect if they existed. :D But a crawl box might be a better option.
If you go the 35's and tubbing route, get the 5.29's.

I would have Brian build a set of diffs before ECGS, he does excellent work. Of course depending on if he's looking for garage/mod money.

Nice to support a local member too!

Yes, yes and yes! Brian did my front diff. My front diff gearing dealt with the torque when landing from a jump. I trust his work. I've heard of a bunch of LT guys losing a diff from jumping.

How do you like your EBC brake set up now that you've had it for a while? I'm looking at getting some new front brakes and I'm debating between blanks and the slotted/dimpled design. Also, do those green stuff's create additional dust or is it about the same as before. THanks

They have been pretty good. No noticeable brake dust but I wash mine frequently too.
The slotted and dimpled rotors have been awesome for kicking out stray pebbles that get in there with water crossings.

Sweet! THanks for the feedback. Where'd you order yours from? I was looking at them from autoanything. Seemed to be the cheapest I can find

Or check Camelback Toyota. I would call and make sure you get the right part number then order online.

Last time I checked my truck wasn't a 5 lugger. That's why I said to call and get the right part number before you order.

Yes, but that picture you show says 2wd w/o prerunner. That's a 5 lugger.

Looks like they're just under $600 for the 6 lugger steering rack.

I know what the picture says. I don't know why they have it like that on the web page but I did say to call and double check the part number with your vin of your truck. I just called and double checked and it matches with the vin on my truck. So I guess I'll pay 479.00 for the rack and you pay what you want. Good day.
