FWIW ... I have a Japanese female friend that I hang out with here in US. She is 45 y/o, very attractive, super smart (best schools in Japan) and she basically says the same thing. Too many video games and Pokeman guys.

She has difficulty finding her interests in a Japanese guy. Same for my Indonesian & Thai friends ... that are looking for Americans first and Europeans second.

Well for the short time I was there I'd talk to the locals and to my surprise it didn't appeal to most young people starting a family.

    Nice!
It inspired me to make the same logo as an emblem and it's available in my website.

Definately can see the very obvious resemblance to chevys in their first car & quite a few others to american brands

Awesome! Haven't had a chance to get to Asia yet but obviously Japan is on my list. Will have to check this museum out. :)

Governments and lack of opportunity with unwillingness to take on crippling debt. Oddly all the most successful young men I know in business (including a couple multi-millionaires) have had nothing but issues trying to marry which is why they haven't done families. One was left by an ex who cleaned out their joint bank account (of which he had put in all the money) and jacked up the credit card he had given her to the tune of about $120,000 about a month before they were about to wed. She was slightly older, had an autistic son aged 3 and came from a very wealthy background.

Japanese are great at taking American or European style cars and making their own version of them.

In general the younger generation is more focused on the individual and less on families.
Japans population has been on the decline since the 50's.

My wife is Japanese and she also looked outside of Japan for a husband.
