    @Andres
    Thank you for the tour.
As I understand it, the US rejected the SixSigma quality control, and Japan embraced it. That and new machines after the destruction of WWII made a big difference in Japan's abilities.

Fun factoid about the car; only the engine design was copied from Chevy. The Chassis & Electrical systems were copied from Ford, and the body was based heavily on the Chrysler Airflow

I'm sure you're correct, I simply went by what I was told at the factory.

Either way the car looks spectacular in person.

This is super cool! I went to the Toyota MegaWeb in Tokyo back in 2011. They had a showroom, a place where you could do test drives (I didn't bother because the line was long), and a history museum.

Might as well share some of the pictures I took!

I noticed some evidence of... energetic test driving:

I got to sit in this Supra:
(It involved what felt like dislocating my hips and folding my pelvis in half to squeeze into the bolsters, and I'm a skinny guy.)

I saw one of these and thought "wow, this is so cool, too bad these will never ever ever come to America!":
(Again, this was in 2011 and I was so surprised to see them as Scions here! Too bad they got axed pretty quickly. :()

Their history museum had some cool stuff like an actual, non-reproduction rally car:
(looks like it had been rolled into a ditch and it probably had!:mudding:)

Then you could sit and have a drink next to THE Toyota GT-One:

And finally in the vintage area they had a 2000GT just sitting there being gorgeous:
(The lighting in here was pretty dim so it's not a very good picture... but I spent a while drooling over this one.)

If you ever find yourself in Tokyo this is well worth the short trip. I forget the exact train line you switch to (Yamanote to Rinkan... Rinkai? Rin-something haha) but there's only 1 line switch and you end up in Odaiba, which is near the Fuji TV building and Tokyo Big Site. It's a short walk out of the station. Google would be more useful than me in finding it.:bananadead:

Holy fuck dude I was in Odaiba, I meant to visit the Tokyo Mega Web but didn't have time.
Nearby I visit the Gundam Front and I regret not going.

Very cool pictures, thanks for sharing.
I didn't know they had classic cars in there, I thought they only had the latest and greatest.
I did visit other Toyota museums and had a chance to see a 2000GT

I'm sure I'll visit Japan again sometime.

Very cool, thanks for sharing! Last April we also went to Nagoya, Japan, but we took a train to the Toyota Automobile Museum in Nagakute.

    Very cool!

Is it the one where they have the Model AA at the bottom floor?
I went to 3 different ones.

Yes, that's the one. The website said it is a Model AA, but the actual signage says it is a Model AC.
