That was really neat to see. Wish I could go there and see this for myself.
When I saw the black 33 ? Toyota sedan I thought I was looking at a Chrysler Airflow at first.
Then I started to realize the differences . I really enjoyed seeing that car.
    Any pictures of early Tacomas?
The oldest Toyota pick up I have seen was a white 65 a couple years ago.
    Thanks for sharing!

The Toyota A1 is a beauty, modeled after an American.
The only trucks I saw were the ones shown in the gallery.
I did went to two other Toyota Museums, I'll have to dig through my photos and see if I can find any.

    Way cool!
I've been meaning to get the KC light bar like yours.
What made you get 6 lights instead of 8?
    Did you install it yourself?

Fucking fascinating! I love Japan. Where was this? I was in Japan a few years ago and it never crossed my mind. Damn it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Toyoda Plant trip you posted. Very informative. I drive a 2013 4Runner Limited and a 2017 TRD Off Road. Am sold on the Toyota vehicles. Would really like to have an old Land Cruiser.
It's a shame that people here in the US don't respect their environment like the Japanese do---I noticed junk littering the roadway all the way in to work this morning. And they don't seem to respect each other either.
My other Japanese interest is Japanese Block Prints. Like the 100 famous views of EDO by Hiroshige. Check these out.
Based on all that you have said just think how the Fukashima nuclear plant explosion and the tidal wave must have affected the Japanese psyche. Their beautiful environment being destroyed right in front of them.

Toyota has multiple museums but the one shown was from the Original Factory Museum where Toyota began investing in vehicle research that would later become Toyota Motor Company.

The others I visited were the Toyota Kaikan museum, it was a small museum but I did get to visit the plant tour and it was amazing to see the level of control they have over the assembly line.

The other one I went to was the Toyota Car museum, lots of cars form Toyota and as well as foreign.

There's also The Toyota Megaweb in Tokyo.

You can always go back for a nice vacation :p

I got the 6 light bar because it fit across my roof rack nicely. Installed my self. Super simple to wire up, and I drilled into my roof rack for the light mounts.

    Gotcha!
I did have an idea, I was wondering if I could get a 6 piece light and widen the gap between by machining some small brackets.
6 is fine but make the gap in between each one wider.
    Do you think it's doable?

Yeah you could definitely machine a link between each light pod. Would have to rewire the harness running behind the lights though. It’s a snug fit.

I was just curious what city it was located in. Every year me and the mates take a two week or so, vacation. I'm actually in Budapest now, spent last week in Prague. I will definitely be going back to Japan. Easily my favorite trip I've ever been to.

Interesting fact: The AA in the Toyota museum is a replica!

The only known existing original is in he Louwman Museum in The Hauge, The Netherlands (which I happened to visit last week).
