* Brightest LED Reverse Light Bulb *

I'm on the fence on these. I have some ebay bucks I need to spend so might try them out. Has anyone had any issues with these auxito leds?

These also look very similar using the same leds @ 16 watts. Which should yield very similar results, but the advertised lumen rating is a little lower. Linked below.

I like them, no issues hear.

 

I have these on my truck, no output shots of mine personally but they are very bright and have a very well spread out pattern. They aren't as obnoxiously bright for on lookers as many of the LED's but are still much more noticeable that stock.

Also....my beater Subaru I did some COB LED boards in the factory reverse housing. It took quite a bit of cutting but holy cow is it bright! They are rated at 1000 lumens at 12v with no controller. So 13.6v would be considerably brighter. And they are wicked.

 

Any problems with these? Simple plug and play? $14 seems like a good deal.

What would you like pictures of? The install is a bit backwoods since it was really just a proof of concept on this build. It does require some "customization" and is not a weather proof solution (again, due to just seeing if it would work) which is ok in my wagon.

 

How secure do these mount to the housing? The mounting tabs do not appear to be a direct swap...are they rubber?

 

Did you actually buy them? How are they, my led bulbs arent bright enough. It would be nice to have extra light with my back up cam

 

Damn, the price has gone up to 35 bucks. Still might buy them. Hopefully the bright ass ness of LEDs will make it more noticeable for the horrible drivers of seattle to see me backing up

 

Those just squeeze into the housing, they can be a wiggly too. Just a meh fit. I had those but I was worried they weren't going to seal very well and allow water in. Especially in cold temps with rubber expanding and contracting. I ended putting them in my wifes car where the back side of the housing is protected from the elements. They do work well, but I prefer the GY6.35 bulb in the Tacoma, I feel like the light is better dispersed and more usable.

 

I think I'm leaning towards going with the OSRAM 35w gy6.35 HIR. They appear to provide the most functional light in regards to true visibility.

The led sure do look "cool" and I will admit that I would prefer the cooler color temps vs halogen.

 

I have not been on TW for quite sometime.
Just an update, the lights are still installed in my taco with no issues with fitment and great output for the price in my opinion. I will keep theses bulbs installed til they go out. I have 5%tint all around place a bed cap so I use my camera and mirrors alot.

 

These will probably be my next upgrade after I fix my retrofits

whelp.... been wanting more reverse light toyed with the idea of LED pods in the bumper but wanted something a little higher up. Currently running 35w GY6 bulbs (non HIR). Ill give these a try after positive reviews.

Anyone compared them to the above mentioned standard halogen bulb?

 

I don't have pictures but I would say real word its about 2x brighter than stock 921's. Also had a more even spread than the LED's mentioned in this thread.

EDIT: I have tried 2 different LEDs in this truck. A JDMAstar that was pretty darn good, and the Auxito ones listed in this thread. I preferred the JDMAstar to the Auxito. But the GY6's have been the best overall. I'd like to do some custom ones like I have in my subaru that I posted above.

 

Ill post it up when i get them. Not running the stock bulbs, been rocking 35w GY6 halogen bulbs for a long time. But always wanted more backup light for the dark corners of reversing I find myself in.
