Bringing Better Bed Lights to the 3rd Gen

I hated all of the bed light solutions out there so I created my own and started selling them for the second gens here and the first gens here.
Now I would like your help bringing them to the 3rd Gens!

From what I have seen this will need to be a two phase approach as there are two different style brake lights on the 3rd gens. The access cab trucks appear to have the traditional (2nd gen) red brake light and everything else has a new clear brake light.

Style 1: The traditional red brake light which looks very similar to both the 1st and 2nd gen lights. To get this option developed I would like to find someone who is willing to purchase a light at a discounted rate and help me work through what modifications (if any) need to be made. I pursued this type of development with the 1st gen version and it was very successful.

Style 2: The new and improved clear brake light which is a very different shape than the previous versions. To develop this option I will need to have a mini kickstarter campaign. At least 20 people need to commit to purchasing this light assembly in order for me to be able to put up the time/money to get a batch of these developed and machined.

Alright @lives_at_bacon_st , @martinh , @defenders90 , @Eden4x2 I am going to give it my best to bring the better bed light solution to your trucks. I am trying to centralize everything in this forum post to make it a little easier to keep track of. If you or anyone else has a 2016 Tacoma with the clear brake light and would light to commit to purchasing one please post it up here. Likewise if you have a 2016 Tacoma with the traditional red brake and wish to help me out based on the terms above please post that up here as well or PM me.

We definitely would like to be able to provide the better bed lights for the different caps that are out there. This will be our next steps once we finish rolling them out to all of the Tacomas.

QUESTION BUD. ARE YOU GONNA RUN THE LIGHTS YOU ARE MAKING OFF THE SAME SWITCH AS THE 3RD GET BED LIGHT SWITCH? WHAT ARE WE LOOKING AT FOR A PRICE FOR THE SET UP? IM INTERESTED

Hey that looks like the perfect switch! There's a few things we would have to check out on that but in the meantime does anyone know what gauge wiring that has going back to the light?

 

Something like 22-24
