Sweet build. What do you have your fox coilovers set at? Just waiting on UCAS for my build. Deciding if I wanna crank the foxes higher.

    No, no spacers needed.

As far as the coilovers I have about 2.9" inches of thread showing. That gets me at about 23.5-.75" from middle of hub to fender.

How much lift over stock did that 2.9" of thread give you?

Looking good bro. To me personally, I would keep your setup over getting a 6 inch lift as I think you are more practical for off-road and functionality. If you are strictly going for looks and want more height, then I would look into the lift. Word of caution, you will likely hit your cab mounts if you cycle your suspension offroad. That tire size is too wide to get away from cutting.

Just curious but what do you gain with the extended vs standard shocks? I am looking at getting the same lift with dakar rear leafs (due to a LEER) but am debating whether I need the extended or not (and the aftermarket UCAs with the extended). I have a DCLB and would like to achieve 2.5 inches of lift after everything settles. Also debating if the extra $ is worth it and am looking at OME Nitros with 2888 coils and DAKAR leaf pack.

Standard is slightly different from extended in that they CANT be used with an aftermarket UCA. Extended are designed with UCAs in mind and I believe are a slightly longer due to spacers from the standard ones, but Im sure someone else will confirm. With that being said, you don't need UCAs and stuff to safely run extended shocks.

I would vote hands down for extended shocks as you will get much more interest, should you decide to sell them one day. I don't know why they still make standard ones anymore.

coot are you sure you can't use aftermarket UCAs with the standard travel? I thought it was the other way around, you must use aftermarket UCAs with the extended travel, but you could go either way with standard. I know my brother is eyeing the standard travel fox because he doesn't want to replace UCAs right now, but might in the future.

I know from a technical "official" wording, yes you are correct. When I first was getting into modding my truck I was looking to get standard shocks. I had been instructed from Dan from wheelers that if I had "any intention" of going to UCAs down the road...to get extended. Now, if the OP never plans to get different UCAs, then standards should be fine.

As far as standard coils...I think it is not recommended to use UCAs as they are more in line with the stock geo tolerance wise, but again, I could be wrong on the exact reasons here.

I rode my coilovers without UCAs for about 8 months without issue. If you exceed 2.5 inches of additional ride height with the coilovers though...then you are pushing it by not having UCAs. I drove right around 2 inches of lift so it had no issue with my set up. Hope that makes some sense.

No problem man, like I said, it took me talking to wheelers and another shop to believe it myself about ordering extended coilovers without fear of destroying something.

Thanks. Yeah I don't plan on going over 3 inches and so was thinking why buy UCAs? Of course, the inner me was saying don't be cheap and go ahead and do it all.

UCAs helped with correcting the alignment the closer you get to three inches. Also, your cvs can start binding at closer to three inches as well without them.

At the shop now and adjusting for 2 9/10" of thread. Looking to be at 23.5 so I hope it puts me where I want to be.

What did you measure from? I measured thread only and it looks like more than yours. Kind of nervous that this is too much.
