I just noticed that the tabs that hold on on my Pelfreybilt steel plate bumper on are cracked at the welds. Does anyone know a place in San Diego Ca that does fabrication/welding to fix this ? As you can see, the weld is cracked almost all the way through. There are essentially only two bolts holding the bumper on, 1 on each side. Im looking to see around how much it would cost and how long it would take to fix this problem. It is ion both side of the truck on both mounting tabs

Same problem with mine, and my other bumpers on both Tacomas. I ended up taking the bumper off, cutting out a piece of carboard the same shape as the frame mount, marking the holes, and driving down to my local machine shop. He cut me out 2 pieces of 3/16" steel and I took that to a local off road shop to cut off the factory mounts and weld these to the frame. Then I used grade 8 hardware to mount the bumper through the new plates, instead of the factory studs.

Never once had an issue after that.

In SD, depending on where you are, I'd recommend Off Road Warehouse in El Cajon or Escondido.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
+3 for @Speed Freek his reputation precedes him well.

If you were in LA id hook you up, but in sd I'd talk to @jeffz0rz, dude builds long travel trucks and bumpers for a living. Plus he's got a cnc plasma table on site, so he'll be able to cut you out some gussets. You'll want to gusset that, not just weld it.

If he can't get to you try @TRACperformance
