C'mon, give up the goods; who makes that? PLEASE!... I'm referring to the wrap around sculpted brush guard of Dgalleon.

    Does that sound desperate?

I went with the Hunter for my Taco because of the stainless steel construction. It shook like crazy at first so I re-constructed the upper mounts back to the frame using plate steel and it's solid now. Also replaced the supplied hardware with stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. Mine's more of a bumper guard though since no one here knows how to parallel park but held up fine in lighter brush.

I asked this same question on a Texas outdoors forum and Ranch Hand seemed to be the most popular.

Actually sir, this thread is about "Brush Guard Recommendations"; and I do not recommend the avid. It is more for looks than anything, it protects only a very small portion of the truck. (which is really what a brush guard is for) .The avid is nothing but bent tube steel that looks cool.

My 2006 tacoma had the avid on it. I was driving home late at night in January here in New Hampshire. I hit some ice, pulled a 180 and slowly rolled to a stop into a plastic mail box post at about 10-15mph. Completely destroyed my lower valance, and caved in the center of my bumper.

If I did not have this bar on I would have had much less damage.

I agree however, the avid is more sturdy than most other bull bars.

This thread however ever is about brush guards, not bitch bars.

    .
Don't get a Westin Sportsman brush guard if you're looking for protection from deer crossing the road.

or, if you want real protection that doesn't look like crap, give relentlesstaco a shout and pick up one of his bumpers, i just cant get over the looks of the ARB bumpers, they make the front of these trucks look like a box truck IMO
