I am pretty sure the pro detailers in here know this or its a bad idea for some reason, but dryer sheets are AMAZING for bug removal during a carwash...

    eek idk about that.

A nice clay bar followed by a wax just makes them wash right off. If not I use seafoam bug remover. Spray it on, wait 60 seconds, scrub and they hose right off for sure

That's fine, I'm not bashing you. It might work fine, but it might have other effects I am not sure. I mean it is just fabric softener sprayed on a sheet, but you never know what chemicals are in it.

Might be something that over time eats paint

Your not scratching the shit out of your paint when you clay bar the bugs off?

Every time I touch a dark coloured car or truck with clay I have to polish it or it looks like complete ass if I don't fix all the damage it does even with a brand new clay bar.

I just use some degreaser. Spray a light mist over the bugs let it sit for 10-20 seconds while you wash the fenders or something and then it usually just wipes off super easily.

I use Ultima Waterless Wash + while they are fresh. I don't have any bugs to remove come wash time. My wifes Camry is a different story...........since it sits low they really seem to pile up on her bumper and lower valance.
