    The steering box is from an early IFS Toyota truck that was tapped. I seel them now and the PSC pump was a prototype that they don't make any more but I have a link on which one will work now. I'll have to find it and get back to you.

    You gonna sponsor them on this truck? Your shifters are a work of art but I need function first then form.

    I've since cleaned it up a bit. I go for function first then looks. Can't see spending money of stuff just to get looks. It's got the have a good function first.

    I chose these knobs because of function first. They are all really cool when it's hot outside, and the smaller ones fit perfect when the trans shifter is in low and the crawler is in high with the t case in low. they all want to share the same space and because of the shape and size they can without hitting each other.

    So just a little confused if I wanted to attempt adding one of these in the future I would need to do a lot of custom work on my cross members? Or just bolt it up and cut to add the shifter? Not planning on SAS or anything crazy just curious what all would be needed to run it?

    Jesus. Looks like you're driving a tank.

    Same here. Amazing.

    @awsumdc

    That's a hell of a truck. I think I lack the vocabulary to adequately describe it. If ever I have an extra $60k cash to drop on something, I know where I am going.

    This build is awesome!! Doing a motor swap, 99% doing the 4.7, most likely from a 4runner. Is the swap book still a thing? How much $$ :D ??

    The 4.7 swap is not a bad swap for these trucks but I have since changed direction and will be going with an LS3 swap instead for a number of reason's.
    One is power to weight and space. The 4.7 tops out at 276 hp while the 6.2 liter LS3 is at 430 hp, is smaller in dimensions and is lighter. It is just as reliable in normal driving conditions as the 4.7 and more reliable in harsh conditions. you can push the LS3 harder than you can the 4.7. The rods are stronger as well as the block and there is a ton of after market support for this engine and you can get parts in the most remote portions of the country for it.

    I did not complete the book for this swap since I really needed to do the swap to finish the book.

    I do like the 4.7. I have two vehicles with with it. A 2004 4Runner sport and a 2004 Lexus GX470. Love them both.

    Oh, I thought I was still on the tacoma "beast" thread, I was talking about the shop Demello offroad or whatever it's called..........unless it's a different name now. Never heard of rock-solid-toys shop. Anyways, they do a huge thread on SAS and then the shop doesn't even do them. So, whatever. Anyone else know a shop in SO Cal that does SAS work?
