that doesnt look too bad......kinda looks like a copy over of a westin bull bar. i know i have seen bull bars on the first gen. tacomas, just not alot of them. the 04 i got had the westin safari bar on it....looks ok, but when i get a brush guard eventually.......it'll be coming off.

not a bad price on that wade bull bar though.

Is this for looks or performance?

Well I drug the my front bumper recently, so I figured i'd buy one of these to save it in case something like that happens again. I want one that looks good though, If I didn't care what it looked like i'd just weld up something .

just gonna let ya know....these bull bars arent really gonna save the bumper from anything other than a very light impact, like maybe a bush or something. however, you can install the bull bar and weld the brackets and all in place(not to the frame, but make it kinda a one piece deal), and it will make it a bit more stout.

I know it's not a bull bar, but the N-fab prerunners look pretty sweet on 1st gen's.

I really like the looks of the shrockrocks winch bumper and bull bar combination, pricey, but I think it would look hot painted body color.

Speaking of Shrockworks, anybody got a pic of their 05+ bumper without the headlight guards?

I am in the same boat. I really want a Bullbar and actually prefer the black ones over the chrome (I like Black accents against my Impulse Red) for the Gen 1 Tacoma and I am trying to find something that doesn't cost $400 (I am on alittle bit of a budget - already getting the nerf bars, exhaust and possibly air intake)

After lift, tires, and communication, guess what I'm doing.......

Shrockworks front bumper, center hoop only. That way I can have a winch and some AUX lighting. It will be black.
