    Is there a front bumper and winch for the Mrs 4runner in the future?

    Nope. It's pretty much done once the skid plates go on.

    We finally got the correct 1/4" thick aluminum front and mid skid plates from budbuilt, and the wife liked it so much, she wanted the Tcase skid too. It did look kinda weird without it because the back of mid skid just kinda hangs in the air by itself. But to use the t case skid, we also needed to order their crossmember.

    good looking stuff! We decided to leave the aluminum raw...

    Nice and flat!

    The crossmember was a bit of a pain in the ass because the factory steel gas tank skid had to come off and the corner needs to be either bent out or cut off.
    But it looks great! Very happy with the whole thing :thumbsup:

    I kinda wish I left my aluminum skid raw. I wonder if that would've been too bling though? are the T4R skids really noticeable from the front, like the Tacomas?

    Not really. Ends up pretty dull after awhile anyway. My only concern is corrosion around the stainless bolts...

    Nice! :cheers:
    I have to say again that I am pretty jealous of my wife's truck. It does look great. But that envy will go away once my sas is complete :oops:

    Yep. Was tight with 3 of us, 3 dogs and all our gear, but we tried to bring minimal stuff this time.

    Nice. Hopefully I don't have to work on the next one. Kinda bummed I couldn't make this one. Aden's been itching to go too.

    We had to drop the Budbuilt aluminum skids for scheduled service, and also so Toyota can install the fumoto drain valve during the oil change. So while they were off, I thought i'd give the raw aluminum skids a light coat of primer and Rustoleum Hammer finish paint. Came out very nice. The raw aluminum was getting a little powdery. Made the wife scrub them and rub with some 400 sandpaper.

    Came out great! We'll see how it holds up to scratches.

    @WendyTaco
    This is my wife's 4Runner build thread. Get the Kings with resis. You won't regret it. I've also installed these on tacomas. No drilling unlike the (rear) ICON resi shocks.
