My toyota 3.0 took a dump today. Man it sucks. I've rebuilt that engine 2 other times. I'm not sure if I want to go with another 3.0, 3.4, or 4.3 vortec. Im pretty sure that the intake is sucking coolant and who knows what else. I'm going to take it to my mechanic neighbor next weekend. I like my old toyota (1991). I like that if I scratch it then no big deal. I dont want to start a whole new build. What engine do you guys think I should put in it after I get the bad news?

rebuilt 2 other times?!? Are you rebuilding it or someone else (warranty)? How many miles since your rebuilds?

BTW, sorry to hear that news. Your truck looks mean in the water there.

I bought it with a blown motor. Rebuild #1. Drove it for about 20,000 miles. Boom, I burned a hole in the piston due to a intake leak. It was sucking coolant into a cylinder. I had it rebuilt again #2. I've maybe driven it not even 20,000 and it is pulling some other crap. Both jobs were done by private mechanics. I guess thats what I get. I'm going a different route this time. Its been a hell of a truck when it comes to offroading though. I can't hate it for that. As far as the poll goes I can't find out how to make one. lol. A 3.4 supercharged would really be nice! That could take a few. lol. Im a bargain shopper.

I have the crappy 3.0 v6. Coolant just seems to find its way past the head gaskets.
