Got it. Way too complicated for me lol. Do you think if I put a new shaft it would take the bump after stop and slight take off shudder away?

    Hard to say...
Depends how much the weak assed leafs are loading and unloading.
You might try putting some spring clamps around the leafs, between the axle and front main hanger, to reinforce them...might be a cheap fix.
I'm still curious to know what your 3 working angles are. It could go a long way in helping you out.

Any recommendations on spring clamps? I’m definitely going to try that. Are you thinking that could help the vibes? This is what my springs look like right now. Is there any way that dropping carrier bearing could help the “bump after stop”? I know these are 2 different things all together but I’m certain that got worse after I put the 1” blocks in the back. It was noticeable before but much more now.

I bought some leave Spring clamps and sinched them down tight with my impact drill. Seems to be doing the trick so far.

How long does this type of cheap fix last? No more springs on loading and bump after stop and very minimal if any takeoff vibes

Who knows...until the springs ultimately fail, I'd reckon.
At least you know what the real problem is...

I really appreciate you telling me about the clamps. Never thought of that. Rear end feels totally different.

I don't carry a spare and still experienced a bump.

I’m here to tell you inexperienced the bump. I followed what poster “splitbolt” recommendation and bought an $18 pair of leaf spring clamps. Cured my slight vibes and bump due to axle wrap. It’s due to weak springs.

Do you think there would be any benefit from installing these behind the axle also?

    Not really.
Under deceleration, the rear of the leafs are pushed together anyway.
The front of the leafs want to come apart, thus the clamp placement.

I’m still amazed at that little easy fix. After all that time I spent trying to figure it out. But it makes so much sense now that I realize weak springs was the cause. Only problem is I now want to take them off and coat them black.

Not sure how it can be axle wrap. I was completely stopped and in neutral.

How soon after coming to a stop did you experience the bump? Did you come to a stop in neutral?

Felt it about 1-2 seconds after stopping. I put in neutral below 8mph.

Could still be the springs unloading then.

I felt very very very slight nudge after stopping yesterday. Nowhere near like I have felt in the past and this is after I put on the Spring clamps. Just a question where should the Spring clamps be installed?. Close to the end of the bottom spring towards the front or closer to the axle itself?

Probably not. The simple answer is you would have the exact same shot as you did right now that the shaft would come perfectly balanced out of the box. My toyota driveshaft was unbalanced from the factory, but I took mine to a loal driveshaft shop and had it spun up and rebalanced on a driveshaft balancing machine and now its good to go. You MIGHT also need rear axle shims to rotate the diff snout more up towards the transmission, sometimes weird driveline angles are the source of vibrations and shudders too.

EDIT: I forgot, at that same visit that driveshaft shop told me that another thing that sometimes causes a 'clunk' when stopping is the driveshaft returning to its resting position and having to fight against rust, dirt, and debris to get there. He said that regularly lubing up the driveshaft connections can help.

Closer to the front...remember the front wants to seperate during decel. You're trying to reinforce the main leaf; you might need a couple to get the leaf or two below it.
