Beautiful bumper, I am very impressed. Can you send me a set of drawings and your dimensions ? Is this front bumper compatible with the air bag system ? I don't want to have any conflicts with the airbag deployment if I have an accident.

Thank you for you time and efforts, I enjoyed your post.

I don't have any drawings, any measurements are posted in the earlier pages, this bumper should not effect the air bags

Yes, I will have to mount a new camera on the swing out, I don't plan on having it on all the time so I will want the tailgate camera left where it is.

I'm using a Lincoln 180 mig 220V with flux core wire I also have a miller 150 suitcase arc welder, I worked as a welder for a year, that being said, not all my welds look good, your welder will work just fine for a build like this

hey, did you make that high clearance hitch? I dont know if you posted it, but would you have any dimensions. I like the idea of building a bumper off of the hitch and I would want to start with a rear bumper.

Hey, I found this thread from you mentioning it in the Edmonton thread; nice work wouldn't mind checking it out in person someday. Glad to see you're starting some sliders. That's where I was gonna start before doing bumpers. Quick question on the bumpers though; 3/16" steel can be a pain to cut considering all the small little pieces that need to be cut in duplicate, what are you doing your cutting with(torch, plasma cutter, bandsaw)? The cutouts on your gas can holder look cleaner than a torch so I was just curious.

    Thanks

All the cuts were done with zip discs, the cut outs were made by drilling the corners with a hole saw and cutting between with a zip disc, if your in Edmonton send me a PM and drop by the garage anytime

Before you start hating, I didn't plan on using manufactured bends, the bender at my shop was missing a part for this size so in the interest of a speedy build I opted to go this route. I may replace this when we get a replacement part for the bender

No worries, I think we spent more time getting unstuck than driving, there was a lot more snow than I expected

Not making, I bought manufactured bends and welded them in, it's not the way I wanted to do it but the bender at work was missing a part I needed
