it looks like im gonna go with the bushwacker fenders

Im looking to replace my fender flares on my 2004 prerunner. I want the matte black fenders instead of my impulse red fenders. I tried herculining my fenders but came out horrible

my question is which style bushwacker flare will be the closest one in size to my stock OEM fender???

-street style flares, sticks out 3/4 from tire

-OE style flares, stick out 1 in from tire

-extend A fender, sticks out 1.5 in from tire

which style do you guys think is the closest to the stock fender flare??

Throw up some pics when you get them installed. I have been looking for a replacement set for my truck as well.

do you know if the Extend-a-Fender flare is the closest match to the stock 01-04 flares???

I think the OE style flare is a little smaller

the first time i done it took a couple hours. make sure you clean the truck really good with alcohol and let it dry and line them up good because once they are on there they dont come back off.

yupp the few screws came out of the fender liners then went right back in through the holes in the flares. and the top is held on by 3m double sided tape. it suprised me with how good it stuck. ive beat them pretty good and they hold up to all the abuse ive thrown at them.

I have the Bushwacker Street-Style Flares.. I ordered from 4wheelonline, and payed the same price you mentioned above.. i just wanted a stock look.. I am overall pretty happy with them. They fit pretty good but you have to "work" with them when bolting them down. As far as bolting right into the old holes. They come with little "pilot holes", and you have to drill them out. But its pretty easy..

when you go to reinstall the flares and you put the screws back in for the fender liner they will open the hole up pretty good..

Not sure.... I had a 96. They didn't have any flares on them at all...aside from a cheesy chrome strip thingy.

Here's some picts of the extend-a-fender-flares.
