Yep. You gotta angle the pillar trim outboard past the door seal to get those tangs to go where they need to.

I rolled the dice and ordered some bowl light in February. I get the correct color but one of the harnesses was wrong. I reached out but didn’t hear back which probably won’t surprise anyone here. @playdixie was nice enough to help me out. Fast forward five month and I get an email last week saying that my replacement harness has shipped.:rofl:
So long story short, if anyone needs a harness for the rear, let me know. I’m happy to pass it on.

Oh geez, the folding mirror is in stock now.

I rolled the dice with the grab handle, and would love folding mirrors, but it's too much $$ and has lots of moving parts that have to sit outside and work for years.

    And considering 6,000+ mostly negative posts ... it's a non-negotiable NOPE.

Yeah, the simplest plan is the best plan.

    Also fits in the budget.

I did a couple years go. I had a small issue with installing the pins to the connector. I got it straightened out on one pin and had to do a little splicing on another. ensuring the proper orientation and making sure it is fully seated are key.
The driver's side motor did go out on me after 1 year, and I had to replace it. I am not sure if it just went out on its own, or if an icy winter over worked it. So, i went ahead and put a manual switch under the arm rest to kill the circuit in the winter. During the winter, I turn off power to the system. The mirrors don't fold up, but the motors don't get over worked either. I just turn it back on in the spring.

Short answer I had to buy one from the seller.
I made contact with the seller and explained the situation. I did a full diagnostic, (I documented with pictures for anyone else who runs into this issue), to be sure it was the motor, not a broken wire or bad fuse.
I have the entire exchange saved. Her response was: "I have sent this to my vendor as well. I’m not sure what you could have done to be honest. I’ve had mine on since the beginning doing all the testing I’ve even doing and haven’t had one issue so I’m not sure. A new drivers side motor to replace that motor is $20...".
The implication that I did something did sting a bit, as I hadn't done anything since install. But I needed the part more than I needed an argument.
The install was a bit involved. I had to cut the wires feeding through the folding arm of the housing. Then splice in the new ones. I had to be careful to stager all the splices to be sure there wasn't a big knot in the middle of the bundle that would be in the barrel of the folding arm. It would have been too large to fit through. If anyone else ever has to do this, I recommend paste flux, solder and heat shrink. Crimped butt joints will just be too large to fit comfortably inside the housing. You can see the bundle of wires going down through the arm of the motor in the second picture below.
Here is a picture of what it looks like when the motor fails, and screen shot of a portion of the information I sent her of what and how I tested when I was tracking it down. 1.jpg
