I have to start by saying, I have NO problems whatsoever with capitalism, or businesses charging what the market dictates, but some things just need to be called out. Do your homework boys & girls - it could save you hundreds. I was shopping for a bed-extender/ canoe rack/ ladder rack (pick one) and came across the exact same model at two different sites, with WAY different pricing. One of the sites is pretty popular amongst the community, so, sorry, but gotta call you out. Look at the huge difference between these two, more than double the cost, for the exact same product! $175 at one site and over $400 on another. Caca del Toro...Excremous Bovinous... BS! Some of you have already saved me some serious money with your shared research - just paying it forward here.

You say exact same, but I don't see the exact same product.

On some cheaper stuff I saw same products sold by Amazon on Aliexpress for less than half the price...except delivery times are crazy long on Aliexpress...

I've explored some of the cheaper options (with other stuff) on Ali, Wish, Ebay, etc. It's kind of a crap-shoot though. Sometimes you get equal quality (it's rarely better) and sometimes you get stuff that is literally toy quality. On stuff like this - where failure can cause damage or injury (especially to someone else) I stay away from the chinesium materials. But, if failure only ends in disappointment, yeah, I'm saving the cash. Latest example: Bought a reputable brand (or so I thought) GoPro suction cup mount at Best Buy. It failed within 10 minutes of use. Bought a "Go-with-Pro Action Mount for Camera Enjoyment Adventures" (or some crazy name like that) from E-bay and that thing will hold my truck to the ceiling. Literally 1/3 the cost. Sometimes you just get lucky.

eTrailer's product is literally the Darby industries extender - even says so in their product description name. They list all the items and specs - exactly as the Darby industries site does. I really hope that's a typo on eTrailer's site. I buy from them often, but blatantly over-charging isn't acceptable. Did you see the screen shots from Boghog1?

Really could have done without all the hyperbole. Just stating that you found a good deal on a bed extender would have been more than sufficient.

Reading the post and just thinking, "wow, this guy likes to type" would have been more than sufficient too... and yet, you took the time to respond. I guess you needed to put that shiny, new Thesaurus to use. Or perhaps, just needed to shamelessly plug your business on yet another post. Either way - GOOD JOB!

I'm not sure how I shamelessly plugged my business. I just thought it was silly for you to so ominously warn people that they should price shop different websites. But take it how you want.

Seriously? Dude - your signature line is 100% advertisement. Personally - I could care less - more power to you. I hope your business explodes with success to the point you lose track of how much money you've made - that's the beauty of America. I just thought it was funny to use the word "hyperbole" in the same thread that the word "chinesium" was used...maybe not quite on the same intellectual level. For that matter - not really sure how the thread means a hill-o-beans to you anyway... So you're arguing with a potential customer over a thread that means nothing to you, while the Mobtown website (which I was shopping on actually) says things like "We aim to make customers our friends..." Really? Like this?? Ok. Take that how you want.

Not yet, but give me a few drinks and... never mind.

Harmless fun. Like I said - shopping on the Mobtown site now. I hope this doesn't mean my shipment gets "lost".

We can still be friends. Just cause I made a comment about your post doesn't mean I don't want to be friends. Do you happen to have an airplane (and a hangar that it's stored in)? I found out in another thread today that I need a friend with an airplane.

LMAO. No harm no foul man. Too much gets lost in translation when it's all text (but you already told me I talk too much so I won't get into that).

I think I read that somewhere. In here? I don't - personally, BUT there's one nearby. I'll get you a picture of it - a few guys have bought stuff sight unseen on here and it didn't go very well. You might wanna see this plane before you consider getting in it. Great site by the way...lots of stuff to shrink my allowance.

    Thanks.

    Don’t be so uptight.

If you have a rebuttal to this also, somehow.. don’t bother. Won’t read it.

@jowybyo @Dan 77 Both planes available...fixer-uppers, lightly used. "Buyer beware" :luvya: LOL The hangar is ummm..."portable" let's just go with that. The paintball residue comes off with a little soap & water. Parachutes extra.
