    Hi,

Im looking for a Tacoma and my budget is 15k + tax here its around 17- 17500 canadian bucks.

I asked to a car specialist about the millage with tacoma and he said that 62000 miles (100 000km) is nothing because these vehicule are made to run several years. (With a good mechanic inspection of course)

    I want to know if buying a Tacoma 2008 TRD with 106 000 miles (171 000km)

    Is it a good choice at a price of 15k-15 500 + tax. ?

Ive seen many trucks around 90 000 miles (around 2006-2007) selling really quick.

Im looking for comments of users that own Tacoma for several years.

    Thank you for time!

    Olivier

is it dc or ac? even with 106K that price is quite below what they would go for.... which would lend me to believe there is something wrong with it... salvage title, previous damage, rust issues... etc. have you had it checked out?

I wouldn't be scared of the miles. My 05 had 97,000 miles on it when I sold it. My 06 that I bought about 3 weeks ago had 145,000 miles on it and it has no issues. As for the price, you didn't specify whether it was 4x4 or double cab. I know prices vary by location but here in Alabama $15,000 would be a good deal on a double cab 4x4 with 106,000 miles on it. I got $17,500 for my 05 prerunner with lift, tires/wheels and other mods I did.

I would suggest you post the province in which you're in, that can make a difference in price too(especially taxes). Also look around on auto trader, kijiji, buysell.ca(I think that it's still around). To get an idea of what you're looking for. Also telling us if you want a access cab, double cab, short box, long box helps too. All the info you can give us the better.

By rebuild i mean a car crash. Most cases are minor crashes.

The guy will show me the truck before rebuild. So i have the choice to choose it or not.

My father is retired employee of IBC (Insurance Bureau of Canada) Stolen car departement, inspection of deployed air bags and many other things.

Ill go see the truck with him... A good tool to see if it's a *peddler*.

Any paper work of who did the work? Did the owner say what was damaged? I think that the owner could send you the pictures online so you can decide then too. I'm sure that he can take pictures of the truck in it's current condition as well.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I wouldn't go 1 penny (Canadian, of course) over $8,000 or walk.

You're making this not easy to help you since that there isn't a lot of information you're giving us.
