Buying 265/70/17 Duratracs! Good price?

Hi all, I stopped by a few tire shops today to do some shopping.
I was looking for the 265/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac in Load Rating C.

I had one shop quote $1,400 another quoted $1,100 and the first one I had gone to told me $980. I browbeat him a bit and he said he would do for $960 OTD, mount and balanced.

In addition to this I get the $60 rebate from Goodyear.

He also offered me $100 off if I financed the wheels and then started offering me crazy deals to get some wheels with the tires.
When he said $450 for a full set of XD Addict wheels I almost had to say yes!

Stuck to my guns and had him order them up for me to go on my TRD Sport stockers.

Then after all this it turns out he is the store manager and he offered me a job!
Liked the way I carried myself and conversed (I'm in sales myself, little did he know).

Fun day and I get my new rubbers put on Friday.

Do you guys think $900 after rebate is a good deal for them?
Also would you have jumped for the wheel deal?

 

That's sounds about right. They're about $850 plus shipping on tire rack for your size.

 

Cool, Im so torn on whether to get the wheels with the deal or not.
Id get the 17" XD Addicts or the 17" Ballistic Jesters.

Cant decide if I should get the wheels or save up more for the lift... choices choices.
