Buzzing in the fan motor. How easy to clean out?

This morning, the fan motor was fine. I replaced the cabin filter last weekend and it went fine. But after work today, I turned on the fan, and there was a buzzing noise in it at all speeds. How easy is it to drop the fan and motor, and clean out in there? It's dark out right now, or I would look, so any help would be great.

 

Look up from the passenger side footwell. There are three screws on the bottom; I use a 7/32" socket but I believe 4mm is the actual size. One harness clip (gently squeeze the tabs on the back together) and one electrical connector for the fan motor. Out of the truck in 60 seconds.

Easiest fan blower to take out I ever did see. Now if it would only stop chirping...

I have a 2011 and I had a tick sounding from about 11k miles. I finally had enough and asked the dealer to look at it at my 25k service. He had it replaced in a couple hours.

 

Yup.... dealer did mine too. Some guys fix this problem with greasing the bearings and taking it apart... just had the dealer do it for me for free
