Hey everyone, here are the install instructions for our Excursion Bedrack system. Installation is pretty straight forward, direct bolt on, no drilling required.

    Tools Required:
    9/16" wrench
    9/16" Socket and Ratchet

    1) Install the nut plates into the bed rail track system.

Slide one nut plate all the way to the front of the track on each side of the bed.

Leave the other two towards the back of the track

    2) Set the driver side of the rack onto the top of the bed cap and loosely install the 3/8"x1" bolts with large flat washers and split lock washers into the nut plates.

    3) Set the passenger side in place using the same procedure.

    4) Install the front cross brace using the 3/8" carriage head bolts with flat washer, split washer and nut on the back side. Install the cross brace so that the long side with the bend is facing down.

    5) Now install the top cross bars. The cross bars can now be installed flipped over from what these photos show. This provides a flat surface on the top of the cross bars instead of the edges on top. Use the 3/8" x 2" carriage head bolts with flat washer, split lock washer and nut to hold the cross bars in place.

    6) Adjust the rack sides so that it is sloped in at the same angle on each side and not leaning to one side or the other.
    7) Fully tighten all of the hardware. Your rack is ready to use!

Is it possible to have those top cross bars be flipped so that there is a flat surface on top?

We did actually redesign the cross bars so that they can be flipped and mounted the other way to provide a flat surface on top.
