Recently took a 10 day trip from the Bay Area. Started going through Nevada, headed into Idaho then Wyoming, ended up going through Utah on the way back home. Here are some highlights!

Early in the trip, somewhere in Jarbidge wilderness NV. Hadn't managed to escape the smoke yet.

First campsite along a nice little river in Jarbidge. I'm a bit on the minimalist side in terms of camping gear.

Wayyyyy out in WY at ~11,000 ft. One of the most epic sunsets I've ever seen.

The next day drove into Capitol Reef National Park. It was stunning. At the end of the main drive there's a 4x4 trail they let you drive on.

Woke up the next morning and drove the long haul from Grand Staircase Escalante back to the Bay Area. Was on the road from 9am until about 4am with a quick stop at Toqueville Falls

By the time I hit Primm it was like a "eh, I'm tired but so close to home, let's get some truck stop coffee and knock it out."

All in all it was a great trip. I didn't do a ton of hardcore offroading since I was solo but got into a couple tight spots in Wyoming. Total mileage was ~3200

Awesome to see a fairly stock looking truck do stuff like this. Helps show people that you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars to explore.

I've got sliders, a front skid, and the rear bumper was a necessary addition after the stock one exploded departing a river bed at an uh... aggressive pace.

Really really cool. Thank you for all that.

I took my truck out a couple weeks ago for my first-time camping in it - seeing your set up makes my 'sleeping on a platform under my truck's canopy' seem downright luxurious. Really cool to just get out there. Great pup, too!

Planning a similar route with the pup, letting her off leash around cliffs make me nervous
