Hey everyone I just installed the Volant CAI and now the truck will start but shut off after about 10-15 seconds. Seems like the computer is getting goofed up. I tried to disconnect the battery and also made sure everything is correct. Can't figure this one out. Anyone have any ideas?

*from reading the forums, I would diagnose this as a vacuum hose being disconnected. :D

Did you touch the MAF sensor with your fingers or anything. If it gets contaminated it will run poorly but I don't think it will just cut off. You probably have it hooked up incorrectly.

Hey I dont mean any disrespect by it but some people forget some silly things.

Did you account for all the hardware? Maybe something fell into the throttle body and made its way into a cylinder...who knows?

Seriously though if I was you, I would uninstall the intake and reset the ECU. Run the factory for a little see if anything goofs up that way. Then if not try to reinstall the Volant and see what happens.

wahoo!!! it was the MAF in there backwards. The connector needed to face the front not the cab. Running like a champ now. Thanks guys for all of the suggestions.

To me it seems like the sensor is to close the the Air box. It should be more closer to the throtlebody! What wa the exact location of the stock sensor? how close to the Air box was it? Or was it closer to the throtlebody?

stockish location. I dont understand why the MAF and the IAT sensor are so close to the filter but they are. I think Toyota should have made it much much closer to the TB
