Calibrating the overhead outside temperature gage

My overhead outside temperature gage reads 2 degrees higher than what it really is outside. I've compared it to radio stations giving the temperature, my desktop weather channel temperature, and bank signs and it is exactly 2 degrees higher. Is there anyway to calibrate it to make it correct?

Honestly if you're within 2 degrees you're better than most. Remember the sensor is reading it from in the truck, it will be skewed. To the best of my knowledge you can not calibrate it.

 

install a potentiometer and turn the dial until the temperature reads correctly, measure the resistance, and then install a resistor of that value (or closest match).
