It's more a matter of respect. I wouldn't be so loose with my words when speaking of the recently massacred, but maybe that's just me.

After he killed the 1st, i'd probably rush him. But i've never been in a hostage situation, so i'm not going to make these courageous proclamations.

we shouldn't cast judgement on those massacered - we don't know anything about them... i.e. let's not call them sheep..

the "sheep" are the control freak nannies who force the disarming in these places: .. a statutory carry ban, or little gun-buster sign gonna keep the real boogiemen out

You ask why nobody fought back and I wondered that too. However, I read more into this situation and found out that this "university" is a one-building Christian school with less than 100 mostly foreign national students. All but one of the victims was a female from a country where females are expected to do what males tell them to do.

I totally agree with some of your post, mostly the last two sentences. And of course, if the weapon is pointing at me, I'm offering a blow job at this point. But there is no way I'm standing in line "waiting" my turn, watching people before me get slaughtered.

federal law requires you to be licensed to be within 1k feet of a k-12 school...the law was stuck down as unconstitutional but re-passed by congress that you somehow could have an affect on interstate commerce...it hasnt be challenged to my knowledge since it was re-passed...

if you were in alabama and got a permit from the sheriff at 18 you could technically carry to class(and some other states that issue at 18 and dont make k-12 illegal on the state level)

I'm a old fellow, but for senior English class in high school (1980) we had to do a couple of speeches, one demonstrative, I walked to my vehicle, strolled the halls (during class mind you) with my trusty 1964 Fox model B side by side double 16 gauge shotgun, no case. Proceeded to show the proper way to break down and clean said gun, (made 95% BTW) and carried the gun back to my vehicle. Times have changed a little since then I guess....

Actually, there are exemptions to the school law in most states:

Possession of any firearm in connection with a firearms safety course of instruction or firearms education course approved and authorized by the school.

Any possession of any firearm specifically authorized in writing by the superintendent of any unified school district or the chief administrator of any accredited non-public school.

Possession of a firearm secured in a motor vehicle by a parent, guardian, custodian or someone authorized to act in such person’s behalf who is delivering or collecting a student.

Yeah, that's all fine and dandy. My point was this was before all the stupid ass laws that are in place now. No one knew what I was up to, I hadn't told anyone of my intentions. It just wasn't deemed as out of the ordinary at the time.

i've heard stories of kids in the 50's setting their .22s or shotguns up against the wall at skrool, ...they'd go hunting before after skrool..

Didn't anyone read my post? This so-called "university" is a tiny Christian school with mostly foreign students. Most of the victims were young women from countries where women have traditionally been subservient to males and where they are expected to do what they are told to do. Not to mention that they were nursing majors attending a Christian school. It probably never even crossed most of their minds to fight back.
