They removed them for me and put in the new leafs. I did have to ask to get them back. They were keeping them. They did mentioned that their were iffy about working on my truck and that I may have to get it back to specs before they would do the work but at the end I did not have to.

I am putting back the AAL when my ubolt flip kit gets here.

Went in for my inspection about a month ago and they said I had to wait until new springs shipped in to do the work. Just got the call today that they are ready to replace mine.
During the inspection, the technician found that my AAL on the driver side is cracked in the middle. The tech told me that he would install a new one if I brought it in when I came back for the replacement, but the service rep told me AAL's would not be compatible with the new leaf springs. Should I just buy blocks in place of AAL's, or is there a compatibility issue with blocks too?
I have an Icon 0-3" coils in the front and 2" AAL's in the back and don't do much hauling at all...trying to weigh my options before I schedule the actual replacement.
I'm going to call the dealership tomorrow for more info, but figured I'd try here first.

How is an AAL not compatible? It just gets added right in line with the rest right?

So AAL are compatible with the new leaf springs?
I've been reading a couple people that said otherwise but it seems that you are the only one who posted pics with the AAL installed.

What brand AAL did you use?
    Thanks in advance

I had my lift bought and installed literally after 50 miles on my truck (I have a little over 34,000 now) I did all there reimbursement hoop jumping. Photocopied my title, registration, the complete lift receipt...I got a letter back that they want to see a bank receipt that I actually "Paid" for the lift and installed it because "anyone can print out a receipt and stamp paid on it". So I go to the bank and got a bank transfer signed by the president of the bank himself, he's a family friend, with the letterhead on it and all..it looked professional. 34 days later they mailed me a letter saying that it doesn't fit the requirement for a reimbursement

OK, my 2010 DC 4x4 has the recall and today (doing an oil change) my service writer said the recall springs are available finally and he would order them in.

I asked about how they deal with the (Firestone RideRite) air bags I had installed to help with the soft rear springs. He checked with head honcho and said they would remove the air bags but NOT replace them.

Anyone have a dealer (I'm in San Diego County) that did the recall springs and put their air bags back on? After all, they are there instead of the factory bump stops... and that's what they do (stop the bumping of the axle to the frame).

Mods are currently being changed .....
They declined my case because I didn't have a letter from a dealer or repair shop stating the initial problem that warranted the repair.
I didn't bother asking a shop to write me a letter.

It is a Toytec TSB AAL. I reached out to them prior to having the recall performed to make sure it was capatible.

Shouldn't need to. There won't be any height gained over the originals (unless yours were sagging, then they should be back to the height of the original leafs when they were new).

My leafs are beginning to bend the other way. My low beam cutoff is uncomfortably close at speeds over 50MPH! I would hate to see how close it would get if the back end is raised 1-2"
